Sketched in pencil, retraced and colored in Gimp. Since I'm a starving artist, or at least a cheap-ramen-eating artist, I can't afford a graphics tablet. It was all done using a mouse. That... is not easy!

Concept: In Chapter 7, Lucy must infiltrate a noble's ball to retrieve a stolen goblet. Since Natsu just wants to eat at the buffet and Gray can't keep his clothes on for five minutes, she calls upon Loke to be her escort. He connives her into dancing, and not just a waltz, but THE TANGO!

Lucy certainly felt a chilling thrill tingle from her lower stomach to her thighs from his hungering face, but the dance was not even halfway over.

The dress was based on Fire Dragon's Kiss by and used with permission. My entire fanfic was inspired by that gorgeous picture.

The pose was based on numerous photos and drawings of tango dancers. The most influential, especially for the mood and lighting, was this: [link] ... Really, if I could paint that good, I'd probably stop being a writer.
Which my readers would not like one bit!

EDIT: Upon rereading my fanfic, Loke was wearing a tuxedo for the party, yet I drew the red tie. I might go back and fix that, although he looks good in the suit. Also, he was NOT wearing his glasses at the ball. After all, cool shades in the midst of royalty is probably a fashion faux pas. Oops!
But he just wouldn't be Loke without the shades!
